Jeffco Public Schools closing on Tuesday, Feb.1
Jeffco Public Schools is closing all district schools and all after school activities for Tuesday, Feb. 1 because of weather- related concerns. Jeffco officials said the below zero temperatures forecasted for Tuesday morning pose a health and safety hazard for children who wait at bus stops. Forecasts also predict continued snow fall which is likely to make roads unsafe.
Students should plan on attending school on Tuesday, May 31 which is the previously published snow makeup day.

Since the design temperature for Denver is about 0 to 10 degrees, most buildings have a tough time maintaining inside temps when its below zero. Maybe design engineers should adjust the design temp.

Denver Public Schools, Aurora Public Schools, Adams 12, Adams County District 14, Adams County District 50, Boulder Valley, Cherry Creek Public Schools, Douglas County, Elizabeth, Jeffco Public Schools, Littleton Public Schools, Mapleton Public Schools, Weld County, Greeley-Evans School Dist 6, and Ft. Lupton Schools will all be closed on Tuesday.
