Spotted some top of crow hill and neighbor at Mt Bailey, also.
You can use your own sprayer and favorite wood bore spray
mixture, high as you can reach, to saturate is good.
I recall early 2000's it cost $100 to take dead beetle kill tree
down, included chipping it up. Compare costs.
Commercial spraying-check prices. Then can spray higher
and should soak the tree bark. Can't afford-maybe pick a
dozen to save. If government county up were fair rofllol
they would get us Lindane(Beetle death juice) back. Pass
word on to new neighbors.
Type trees they will hit(check Colo Univ Agriculture Dept).
Last I looked a few are lodgepole, Ponderosa and in big
"Frenzies"-they will eat firs, too.
