Good camping sites near a fishing stream or river?

I have a friend who is a single mother and wants to take her son and his friend camping. He is 15 and loves to fly fish so she would like to be close to a good stream or river. She doesn't want to go too far from Denver. Any recomendations as to a few good spots around here?

Clear Creek county just up I-70. Got these two links off the county website http://clearcreekcounty.org

Developed Campgrounds - doesn't look like any are open yet. Gotta wait till the end of the month?

Goose Creek, right at the far southern end of Jeffco. The campground wasn't open a couple of weeks ago, but should be open by Memoorial day. if it's open there will be a camp host. The creek is a little silted up from the fire, but there are fish.
