We've got an adorable litter of tiny Chihuahua mix pups at IMHS who are going on 10 wks of age. They are fixed, vaccinated, and dewormed, and need forever homes.
The most critical developmental stage in a dog's life is between birth - 12 wks of age. During that time, pups should be introduced to a variety of environments, people and other animals, and have as many different, and positive, experiences as possible. The Chihuahua pups have spent most of that phase of life in the shelter. As great as our standard of care is, it's time for them to move into HOMES, and gain introduction to all the experiences that home life brings.
Please...if you can add a toy breed pup into your home, or if you know anyone looking to adopt, send them our way! We are OPEN 7 DAYS A WEEK FOR ADOPTIONS and adoptable animals may be viewed at imhs.org, or better yet, in person at IMHS!
IMHS also currently has one Dalmatian/bulldog pup available, and many other terrific dogs, cats, and kittens waiting for homes. Come see us, and tell your friends and neighbors.
