If you are a groomer or know a groomer with a big heart for helping a homeless dog, we'd be so grateful for a helping hand!
Griffin came to IMHS this morning, and his long, thick coat is filthy and badly matted. Griffin appears to be a Golden Retriever/Chow mix, gold, a senior dog. He seems very sweet, and his matted coat must feel miserable.
Griffin badly needs a bath and brush out to beautify his coat. If we can find a groomer willing to donate the service, we'll gladly give recognition in our Spring newsletter and on our web site for the gift of a grooming service. We'd be so pleased to be able to show off "before and after" photos of Griffin!
Dear Griffin will also need a forever home. If you love big beautiful fuzzy types, come meet Griffy at IMHS....he's here waiting!

OH thank you, everyone! We've got a sponsor for his grooming-- and a million thanks to all who called and messaged to follow up on Griffin's care.
Griffin has a 10am appt with Paws and Claws for tomorrow and THANK YOU to the kind sponsor who is paying his grooming bill!
We reconsidered Griffin's breed combination after doing his temperament test and observing his looks and behavior a little more. We think shepherd/retriever, possibly some chow thrown in for good luck, but he's a sturdy 79 pounds with a big build.
We'll look forward to showing off his before and afters!
Muchas, muchas gracias again for all the offers of help...
Thanks everyone for helping out with Griffin. From transportation, to the groomers, to the wonderful person who paid the grooming fee. We couldn't have done it without you.
Here is Griffin before (taken in the shelter just before leaving for the groomer).
Here he is outside the groomer waiting for his appointment.
Griffin loves his new "do". Now he would love a new "home".
