We're pleased to report that 27 animals have gone home so far this month--a terrific February!
This week the IMHS shelter needs:
- a door mat for the surgery clinic
- bit more canned dog food. In the winter, we supplement a little canned with the dry at mealtime because the dogs burn more calories during their outdoor play sessions in cold weather and we don't want them to drop weight
- rawhides, for dog enrichment
- dog sweaters, any and all sizes
- business envelopes
- toilet paper
- bleach, bleach, bleach! Between laundry and cleaning, we go through 4 gallons each week so we're always in need
Is there by any chance anyone out there who doesn't have a dog (stop laughing, this is a serious question!), who would be willing to foster a dog with kennel cough for us? We are looking to grow our pool of foster homes who can take a dog for just 10 days of kennel cough treatment...if anyone can help out in cases like this, email me at
and I'll give you more information on how you can help!
Thanks a million for the support, everyone! Very special thank-you to the kind donor who bought the HEPA air filter unit we needed last week, and the postage stamps!
