Interact, a youth services organization at West Jeff Middle School will be hosting a pie-eating contest and silent auction to raise funds for charity this Friday, March 2, at 5 pm at the St. Laurence Episcopal Church in Conifer. The animals of IMHS will be one beneficiary of the event.
Contestants in various age groups will compete to see who can eat the most pie without using their hands.
“How wonderful of the students of Interact to take a hands-on approach to helping the animals at IMHS with a hands-off pie-eating contest,” said IMHS Shelter Director Marta Anderson, “The animals will get their just desserts thanks to these kind kids, and the community that shows up to support them. “
$5 admittance to watch the contest (children under 3 are free); $15 to enter the contest (or $20 for two family members). There will also be items in a silent auction. Checks can be made out to Conifer Rotary.

"Now, more than ever, the illusions of division threaten our very existence. We all know the truth: more connects us than separates us. But in times of crisis the wise build bridges, while the foolish build barriers. We must find a way to look after one another as if we were one single tribe.” -King T'Challa, Black Panther
