She was recumbent in her cage this morning, barely responsive, and couldn't walk. When she got to Lone Rock she was found to have very low body temp and poor prognosis. She deteriorated quickly over the next couple of hours and the decision was made to euthanize her. Thank you, to all involved, for the special attention you gave her today.
Olivia enjoyed a happy, largely free-roaming lifestyle the past few weeks in the shelter. She got to eat canned food multiple times a day, and enjoyed special goodies and baby food brought in for her. It seems she went to sleep at some point last night and crashed. Gracie is laying in a sunbeam in the middle of the floor right now and doesn't seem to notice (lucky her!).

Peace be with you Olivia. Thank you IMHS for taking such good care of her!
"Now, more than ever, the illusions of division threaten our very existence. We all know the truth: more connects us than separates us. But in times of crisis the wise build bridges, while the foolish build barriers. We must find a way to look after one another as if we were one single tribe.” -King T'Challa, Black Panther
The truth is incontrovertible. Malice may attack it. ignorance may deride it, but in the end, there it is. ~Winston Churchill
At least we know that her ending days were spent where she was loved and cared for, petted and pampered. You were a sweet kitty, 'livia. I'll miss you.
