Shelter needs week of 3/25 (& cat enrichment photos!)

Hi Everyone!

30 animals have gone home so far this month--this is shaping up to be a record-breaking month of March compared to previous years! We are absolutely elated to send so many animals into great homes in early spring.

This week the shelter needs:

- more KMR (Kitten Milk Replacer) or similar brand

- canned and dry kitten-formula food

- toothbrushes-- the shelter cats absolutely love being stroked across the face, head, chin, neck and cheeks with a soft-or-medium toothbrush. See photos below. Perhaps the bristles remind them of their mother's tongue...any way, we are collecting these for our cat enrichment program and assigning a toothbrush to each shelter cat now--toothbrushes needed!

- laundry detergent, any brand

- a new kitchen mop

- puppy food, canned and dry

- toilet paper, any brand

We are still collecting ALUMINUM beverage cans and want your old soda & beer cans to cash in for the animals! Collect from friends or neighbors, bring us smashed ones from the street, we want 'em all! These can be dropped off in bags at our doorstep ANY time- if you're in a hurry just toss the bag at our door and we'll make good use of them.

King Soopers has toothbrushes on sale this week, 10 for $10. And it's tax deductible if you give them to the shelter. It's a win/win.

Oh - and you don't have to buy 10. They're $1 each. The "10 for $10" is to try to get you to buy more, which I did.
