Shelter needs week of 4/2 & Izzy photo

Happy glorious April, Everyone (& hooray for the much-needed precip!)

This week the IMHS shelter needs:

- cotton balls

- bleach, bleach, bleach!

- dog collars (hammy-downs are fine! any and every size)

- black sunflower seeds and suet cakes (because we love the birds, but also for cat enrichment! The shelter cats get great pleasure from watching the action at the bird feeders outside our cat room windows!)

- gallon-sized freezer bags, the zip-lock type

- 1st class postage stamps

- scotch tape

- a window A/C unit, for the thrift shop. 19 - 20" wide, 10,000 BTU (used and in good working condition is fine)

A new month for adoptions! Three animals have gone home, including dear Izzy...this shy kitty was just about to reach her 1-year anniversary as a homeless IMHS cat, and she was finally adopted this weekend! A gorgeous cat, Izzy was crazy about other cats and reluctantly liked human attention but was shy when approached. Thanks to all the new volunteers who've joined our cat enrichment program since January, Izzy's social skills finally began to blossom. Hooray that she finally found a forever home where she'll enjoy being doted on! See Izzy, below...

Hearty thanks also to the kind folks at TJ's Wood Products, who donated the biggest truckload of wood chips I've ever seen to keep our outdoor kennels and play-yard comfortable for the dogs, and looking great!
