62 animals went to adoptive homes in June. THANK YOU, everyone, for the support you help to provide while they are in our care--the donations of supplies, money and volunteer time are all invaluable to IMHS and the animals we serve, and allow us to save so many!
This week the shelter needs just a few key items:
- more clay cat litter (non-clumping). We go through a lot each week with kittens to care for
- CANNED FOOD- for cats and dogs
- 1st class stamps
- your empty ALUMINUM CANS...soda, beer, Red Bull, you name it, we'll cash 'em in to help care for the shelter animals! If you can't get by during our open hours, simply bag those cans and leave them in the drop bin or by our doorstep (and THANK YOU to those of you who already do.).
Pic of the week is Dewey, a 10-week old kitten who had a very eventful week. He was found at a gas station on Tuesday, brought to IMHS for care, was featured in our Pet of the Week Ad, became our clinic's 100th neuter yesterday, and today went HOME as our first adoption for the month of July!
Thanks again, everyone, for reading these posts and for your compassion for animals.
**We'll be open til 3pm for adoptions on July 4th and we'll have 11 new dogs and puppies here for adoption!**
