Wis List 8/10 and Picture of the Week

11 Aug 2013 10:51 #1 by IMHS
With summer winding down and school fast approaching, we have not seen as many visitors in the shelter. So far we have placed 18 animals in new loving homes. If you have a little spare time and a lot of spare love, why not come in and meet your new friend today?

Our wish for this week is as follows-

Laundry Detergent- liquid or powder. We have an "on-its-last-legs" top loader so either type will work. Have an extra washer and/or dryer? We are always hoping for extras as back up.

Garbage bags in the 13 gallon size.

Bleach. Bleach. Bleach.

High quality DRY Cat food....we are getting critically low.

High quality Dry Dog food....sensitive stomach if possible.

Our picture for this week is one HANDSOME boy!

File Attachment:

Meet Buddy! This incredibly friendly and well trained boy is looking for a new companion to be his best bud. Buddy is 2 1/2 years old and is as loving as they come. He walks very well on a leash and loves to interact with other dogs in a play group. He was previously in a quiet single person home. He would do very well in a new home that has a fairly consistent activity level and that will engage him in stimulating play activities and adventurous hikes. We hope he finds what he is looking for soon!

We are still hoping for the donation of an no longer used old model Smart Phone or Tablet. We have had two donated so far and have put them into immediate use. We are still looking for one (or two) additional to have as back-up to the ones in use. We clear all personal information for you. Thank you to the generous folks who donated- it has helped us tremendously!

With winter coming we are hoping to get a set of donated new or gently used tires for the IMHS transport van. If you think you can help us in ANY way- either by donating a set or helping us to secure a greatly discounted price for us to purchase, please give us a call. Safety for the animals, and the humans that transport them, is a HUGE priority. We are putting out the plea now so that we can be ready to go when the snow hits. In Colorado that could be ANY time!

Many thanks to all the folks who come by and volunteer their time or donate much needed goods. Donated goods that can't be used in the shelter are placed in the Thrift Shop, which helps the animals with the proceeds that are generated.
