Wish List 9/22 and Picture of the Week

So far so good for this month with 23 animals finding new homes. Not that Fall has officially arrived- maybe a new pet is just what you need to cuddle by those soon-to-come fires in the fireplace! We are open 7 days a week for you to come and look.

Our WISH list is as follows-

DRY Cat and Kitten Food- Cat chow is best

Small size (8 gallon) garbage bags

Paper Towels

Peanut Butter- larger tubs are the best

Bleach!! Didn't think I would forget did you? :Whistle

We had a wonderful response from folks who brought in Laundry Soap and Bleach these past few days. This helped immensely and got us over the "down to the last box/bottle scare". THANK YOU!!

For the picture of the week I am including some of our long term cats. These are the "kids" that have been here for some time and frequently get overlooked by people who are hoping for the younger or "cuter" cats and kittens. These furry friends are wonderful in their own special ways. IF you are looking for a cat that is NOT one-size-fits-all please come and visit. We would love to get these guys and gals into loving homes asap!

TOBY is a 10 year old owner surrendered cat who just wants to hang out all day. He is not demanding for attention but LOVES when he gets petted. We had to shave many snarls out of his coat and the fur has pretty much grown back. Toby is NOT the slenderest of cats...but hey...large and in charge is OK...no?

PENNY is a gorgeous Tortie gal. She is front declawed but still has a mean left hook. Penny loves to be petted on HER terms and lets you know when you should stop. Penny would do well in a home that wants the presence of a cat around but is not interested in having a cat front and center 24/7. Preferably an adult only home. We believe she will let down her guard and be more social once she is in a loving home but will require some patience in the beginning. Up to the challenge? Come see this beauty.

WATSON is a dapper guy who loves naps in the sun and chin rubs. He has been in a foster home with small dogs so we know he could be a "puppy pal". Watson is 7 years young but acts like a teenager some times. Just give him a few toys and sit back and watch! Watson has met some children here and shows an affinity for the mature ones (maybe 8 yrs. and older). He really needs a home of his own- we love him and so will you!

If you can find it in your hearts to adopt these older, quieter, rock stars then please come in and meet them to see which one will be the best match. Of course we have many other cats and dogs available but these are the ones that need homes quickest. They get GREAT care here but nothing beats a home.

Thank you again to all of you who donated this past week. You contributions are what help us do what we do and give the care these wonderful animals deserve!
