This has been a crazy few days! Our apologies that the wish list is being posted so late. :Whistle
We are happy to report that 13 wonderful animals have been adopted and will spend the holidays in new loving homes. The holidays can be a crazy time to add a new companion animal to a family and we appreciate that people take this into consideration when making the choice to adopt now...or waiting until the chaos dies down. It is always in the best interest of an animal to keep the stress level as low as possible!
Our wish list for the week is as follows-
WET Cat and Kitten food- pate style is the cat's meow!
WET Dog food- pate brings happy woofs from the canine portion of the shelter!
Cardboard cat scratching trays. Kitties gotta scratch!
Laundry Soap- liquid or powder doesn't matter...we can use them both!
Coats and Booties for the dogs- this weather limits the time they can be outside.
Our picture of the week is......
KITTENS!!
This will give you folks an idea of the kittens that we have (or soon to have) up for adoption. The orange kitten and the barely seen white one are already adopted - the other two will be available soon. We also have four other kittens here at the shelter just waiting for a new home! Besides these cutie pies, we still have a number of wonderful and loving adult cats that would love to go home as well. If you have been considering adding a new feline companion to your household, please stop in so we can introduce you! Is your house going to be hectic the next few weeks? Maybe you would be able to add someone new after the first of the year. Either way, the shelter is full of wonderful canine and feline souls who deserve to have a new home that will love them forever. We do what we can to keep everybody here happy and healthy while they stay, but a shelter can never replace a home.
IMHS wants to thank everyone who came by and visited with us and Santa on December the 7th at Buster's! We saw a slew of funny and cute pets (even some alumni!) that were not TOO thrilled to sit on Santa's lap but indulged their owners anyway. Nothing like a treat to calm those "Santa Nerves"! This event was our way to say THANK YOU to the community and to help spread a little holiday cheer to everyone- two legged or four!
Thank you to everyone in the community who has given us so much, whether it was dropping by an item from the list, or by sending us a check in the mail. Everything we have received has gone straight towards the care of the animals. If you are considering a year end donation to a local charity, we would be honored if you considered IMHS.
Hope everyone's holiday plans are progressing smoothly. Find calm where you can! :coffee-News:
