IMHS seeking shelter manager

Intermountain Humane Society, located on Hwy 285 in Pine, Colorado, seeks a Shelter Manager.
The Shelter Manager is responsible for the oversight of daily shelter operations and accountable for the performance of IMHS's adoptions, off-site, foster, and volunteer programs. The Shelter Manager provides essential support to the staff and volunteers, actively facilitating communication among all shelter workers, and providing the leadership needed to support the mission and goals of IMHS.

Duties include, but are not limited to:

Management of daily shelter operations including staff, volunteers and the public
Attendance of monthly IMHS Board Meetings and membership meetings such as community chambers of commerce and organization-affiliations (MDSA)
Ensures that IMHS policies and procedures are being followed
Performs adoptions, animal intakes, and medical treatments in adherence with IMHS policies including working with local veterinarians and coordinating transportation of animals
Proactively markets animals for adoption using all marketing methods available
Oversees the IMHS offsite adoptions program
Actively solicits donations from the public and maintains an awareness that each transaction with a visitor, client, or volunteer has the potential to increase financial and community support for the organization

The Shelter Manager is expected to work on Saturdays and must have solid comprehension of PACFA mandates, a clean driving record, and no criminal history. Salary is $32 - $36,000 annually (DOE), including 2 weeks paid vacation. Health benefits are not available.
