Great News! Now if they can pick up a franchise QB, a couple cornerbacks, and a good reciever they might have a chance to end up in the Superbowl again in a few years.

Adrian Peterson has agreed to a new long-term contract extension with the Minnesota Vikings, the team announced Saturday.
It is a seven-year deal worth up to $100 million and includes $36 million guaranteed, a league source told ESPN NFL Insider Adam Schefter.

And we all know what happens to players when they get that long-term contract signed... ;)

"Now, more than ever, the illusions of division threaten our very existence. We all know the truth: more connects us than separates us. But in times of crisis the wise build bridges, while the foolish build barriers. We must find a way to look after one another as if we were one single tribe.” -King T'Challa, Black Panther

With how running backs get beat on, the Vikings might only be giving him backpay for the early years. Look at the Broncos Terrell Davis. After Shanahan ground him down with 2 (2000) yard seasons, he never was the same.

lol Beat by Tampa? Why did they ever pick up that QB? They should have re-signed Favre.

Have been so busy this summer I haven't even gotten a chance to see them yet. Looks like Peterson is having a great start. They blew a 17-0 lead? Not expecting a great year this year. McNab will do OK but he will only take them to 6-8 wins. Still better than last year and better than they would have been without him. Looks like the Bears will end up 3rd in the Division.
