Broncos: Christians and the Lions

It seems some things never change.

That was a hard game to sit through! Clearly the Lions are a much better team than the Broncs this year. Now I can appreciate what it felt like all those years ago to be a Lions fan. At least even the Lions could look forward to one win a season on Thanksgiving, I'm not so sure that is going to be the case for Broncos this season.

Isn't NE one of the games up next for the Broncos? After loosing to Pitt today, that is not a team I want to face next week.

The Broncos clearly have more problems than just QB. To pin it on the QB alone is not taking stock of reality.

Broncos play the Pats on 18 December, there's a lot of football between now and then:

06 November - Broncos @ Raiders
13 November - Broncos @ Kansas City
17 November - New Jersey Jets @ Broncos
27 November - Broncos @ San Diego
04 December - Broncos @ Minnesota
11 December - Da' Bears @ Broncos

How will this year's Broncos fare in the Black Hole? I'm guessing that it won't be pretty but I'm not predicting a loss either (because I want the Raiders to loose no matter what).

How about KC? The Bronco's don't have a good record in Arrowhead Stadium, probably another loss.

When the Jersey Jets come to town? Home field advantage may be all the Broncos have on their side for this game, maybe it's enough to keep the score close?

In San Diego? The Broncos will be able to get some authentic Mexican food and enjoy the warm climate, how that effects their play on game day is a toss up. I'll get back to that prediction later as we see more from the Chargers.

In Minnesota? The Vikings will make the most of their home field advantage but let's wait to see how well they are doing a week before the game.

Da' Bears in Denver? I'd like nothing better than to watch crybaby Cutler get his A** handed to him in Mile High Stadium but to date I'm not seeing a Broncos team that is capable of performing that feat.

Let's hope I'm wrong and today's blow out is a single event followed by a Broncos team that improves through out the season and starts to score some points, loosing games by a few points, or maybe even winning a few games for a change.

I'd like to believe it, that today's blow out was singular. Not the case. The Broncos are on life support. Can another QB do better. Likely, but the problems run much deeper. I'm inclined to believe we may win possibly one more game the rest of the way. That is the reality I see, while my heart wishes for anything but that.

I don't get to see the games while working. Given the 3 and out syndrome, did you actually see enough of Tebow to determine if he made any improvement since last week?

We can't watch the games either Rockdoc, only listen to them on Sirius radio.....what I heard sounded a lot like what I saw last week without the comeback in the final 3 minutes. The highlights (lowlights?) shown on AZ TV mostly showed an offensive line collapsing and Tebow being exposed to one sack or near sack after another. No, it probably isn't all his fault, but what little I saw on replays he doesn't look comfortable.

Put in Quinn? Why not, he couldn't do much worse... I can't say that it's just the QB, the Broncos need effective wide receivers and a more robust offensive line, wouldn't hurt to boost up the defense either.

I'm ashamed to admit that I picked up my stuff and walked out with my youngest niece in the middle of the fourth quarter, that marks the ONLY Broncos game I have never watched from start to finish in my history as a Broncos fan. Prepare for the worst and hope for the best...

This is quite the dilemma. It is tough to learn much when you're not given enough time to read. In this case read a defense. It's one thing for a pocket to loose form if the QB holds the ball too long. It does not sound like that was the case. And, who wouldn't have nervous feet or discomfort, Archer, if the same problems kept happening over and over again?

I think this. The Broncos know they have problems. They are going to stick with Tebow with a sink or swim philosophy. I would not be surprised to see him traded at the end of the year with the intent of getting enough draft picks to be totally flexible in the next draft. It seems logical, at this point, that there already is a thought and plan on how to acquire Luck as their savior. This barring unforeseen wins this year. If Tebow can survive and actually inspire and lead the team to three or more wins from here on out, they may reconsider a Luck plan.

So you walked out. Being a glutton for emotional punishment is no badge of courage, but a badge of foolishness. Loosing is enough of an emotional downer.

It's not difficult for me to figure out why.....the man has heart, and a lot of raw talent. Whether or not he can put the two together and actually run a football tem remains to be seen.....but I hope they give him the time and the support to show if he can do that.
