Local Denver media outlet 9News is reporting that the Broncos are strongly considering making a move to land injured star quarterback Peyton Manning.
The Broncos would get Manning to either groom the messiah Tim Tebow or to be a hold-over until the Broncos find their quarterback of the future. It is also being reported by ESPN’s Adam Schefter that the Jacksonville Jaguars would be willing to offer the Broncos a 2nd and 5th round draft pick in exchange for Tebow.
I'm afraid they will and thereby shoot themselves in the foot. It's called impatience. How many years does Peyton realistically have left? Not many and questions remain about his health. Though cleared by his doctors, it does not translate into ebign able to play. Should something like that happen, I am willing to bet that Tebow will come back to hunt the Broncos for many years to come.
If I was elway I would trade tebow to Jacksonville to free up cash for manning. And Jacksonville needs tebow. Win win. It would take me a while to learn to like Peyton.
Thomas Sowell: There are no solutions, just trade-offs.
It may take Tebow a few years to be a grest QB and Manning may only have a few years left (if he plays at all). If I was Manning, I think I'd live happily ever after with my millions and family and spare my neck of future injuries.
