And how long will he play next week against the Raiders? Three touchdowns?

Long enough to guarantee a win.

Would he have to play at all for that? I think Manning is the heart of an offense that scores 35+ points a game, but how many points does it take to beat the Raiders, maybe 21 or so? The Donkeys ought to be able to get that done without Manning taking a single snap, don't you think? Besides, he'd be there to come off the bench if it started looking dicey, so why not plan on letting that ankle have 3 weeks off instead of 2 to make sure it's as good as it can be for the playoffs? Welker is going to be sitting it out to make sure there aren't any cobwebs left inside his skull, so why not sit Manning too?

Personally I think Manning should play. He has a tradition as a Colt of taking off the last couple weeks and then being rusty in the playoffs.
But once the Broncos get a comfortable lead, pull him.

I have no doubt this will be Manning's decision. If he wants to play, he will play.

Per the Denver Post and Coach Fox, it sounds like they aren't not planning to rest people against the Raiders, 54 TD's to end the season for Elway?
265 more yards Elway needs to beat Drew Brees's record in passing.

Oops.
Manning of course.
Is is just me or has Elway's comb over become Trump worthy?
