Good morning, Rockies fans! Your hashtag for the day: #OpeningDay.
See you soon at Coors Field!
It's baseball time! Anyone have rituals for today? Growing up in Cincinnati, this was almost a holiday for us - it wasn't unusual for several classmates to miss this day of school (a happily excused absence) to go to the game with parents, there's always a parade, and we were so proud that the 1st pitch of our team, being the 1st professional team in the sport, kicked off the season (I don't think we get that honor anymore, but we still get to open at home every year).

When the Rockies started, I went to the first game the Reds played them at home and I remember wondering what CO did to celebrate their team, and if their history would develop to make them as beloved by their city as our team was. The Rockies have done alright, I'm just thrilled that their home is now mine as well. If you're going to the game, enjoy the beautiful weather and tradition that today brings.
"Now, more than ever, the illusions of division threaten our very existence. We all know the truth: more connects us than separates us. But in times of crisis the wise build bridges, while the foolish build barriers. We must find a way to look after one another as if we were one single tribe.” -King T'Challa, Black Panther
The truth is incontrovertible. Malice may attack it. ignorance may deride it, but in the end, there it is. ~Winston Churchill
