LEAGUE PHILOSOPHY: The league is a well-organized national program emphasizing football education, participation, good sportsmanship, and FUN. Players will focus on developing new skills in a safe environment. Every child will have an opportunity to play in each game. Your registration fee is all-inclusive, and there's NO FUNDRAISING REQUIRED!
DATE, TIME, AND LOCATION: The season will run eight weeks from September 10 to October 29. This is longer than the seasons run by most other leagues. League games are every Sun. between 12:00 and 3:00 p.m. at Conifer High School.
ALL games are at Conifer H.S. only. There is no traveling to other sites. Practices will be held at the game location, one hour before each game (half-hour in the youngest age group). Not only is this more convenient for you, but it'll cost you less at the gas pump.
EQUIPMENT: The league provides each player with an official i9 Sports reversible jersey, flag belt, and one mouthguard. The league supplies appropriate-sized footballs for each team. Appropriate footwear includes sneakers, turf shoes, or plastic cleats.
DIVISIONS AND TEAMS: The game format is 5-on-5. There will be approximately 7 to 10 players per team. Players will be assigned to a division based on age and/or skill level. Likely age divisions:
4-6, 7-9, 10-13
We will change the age groups if the numbers warrant it.
COACHES AND OFFICIALS: Trained officials, NEVER parents, will referee games. Coaches are volunteer parents who want to join the fun. Please let us know if you are interested. We provide an official i9 Sports Coach's Guide, footballs, practice disks, and T-shirt to each coach.
AWARDS AND OTHER GOODIES: Every player will receive an i9 Sports trophy. There will also be weekly sportsmanship awards given by the coaches. The registration fee includes the fun end-of-season celebration where awards are distributed.
