Dillon eclipses 1,500 career points in Cougars' victory

Claudia Dillon’s high school basketball career may not yet be over, but her contribution to Evergreen’s program won’t soon be forgotten.

On Tuesday night, the senior phenom forever enshrined herself in the history books when she surpassed the 1,500 career point mark in the Cougars' 46-32 victory over visiting Erie. With the Sweet 16 win, the Cougars advanced to the Great Eight of the 4A state girls basketball tournament.

Dillon achieved the feat in perhaps the most anticlimactic way, with a handful of free throws. But her team ensured that the moment wouldn’t go unnoticed.
