Lucas Gerding couldn’t have asked for a better ending to his high school athletics career.
After winning a state title in the 4x100-meter relay at state track last month, Gerding, now graduated, got one last chance to represent Clear Creek High School. In Alamosa last week, he briefly played quarterback for the North team at All-State.
Throughout his time on the Adams State University campus, Gerding attended several practices and got to hang out with some of the state’s best football players from all classifications. Although the South team won the game 31-17, he said the experience made him a better player as a whole.
