THORNTON — Conifer football seems like it cannot be stopped.
Following its toughest test of the season against Fort Morgan the week before — in which the Lobos won 35-28 — it got a bit of a break on Friday when it traveled to Skyview High School.
The Lobos stayed perfect with a 48-0 beat down of the Wolverines and now sit at 5-0. Going into Friday night’s game, they were ranked No. 2 in the CHSAANow.com RPI (ratings percentage index) standings for 3A football, but have since dropped to third behind 4-1 Pueblo South and 5-0 Mead.
