With her German shorthair pointer Charlie running at her side, Brooke Kish can almost take flight.
The agile pair head to Sweden this week, where they’ll be representing Team USA in women’s canicross, the little-known sport of cross-country racing with dogs that’s part of the United States Federation of Sleddog Sports. In the dryland world championship races Oct. 23-27, more than 350 of the top competitors from 20 countries will compete.
The women’s canicross race is a 3-mile cross country race.

However, she and her husband started to feel bad when they’d place well in races with Charlie’s help.
