EVERGREEN — It didn’t matter to Sierra Hayes that her Conifer girls basketball team had just lost 53-20 to host Evergreen on Monday night.
The second the game clock struck zero, the senior lowered herself to the court to do the worm.
After all, her Lobos fared much better than they did in last season’s 52-6 final against the Cougars. Win or lose, the outcome showed just how much progress the ladies had made in a year.
