WINTER PARK — Aiyana Cooke may be the only lady representing the Platte Canyon alpine ski team on the mountain, but boy does she wear that Husky blue bib well.

On Friday during one of CHSAA’s slalom competitions, she not only qualified for the state meet by finishing in the top 33 percent (top 33 girls), but she earned the mark by a wide margin.

Finishing 22nd with a combined two-run time of 1 minute, 52.81 seconds, she comfortably punched her ticket to Beaver Creek on Feb. 27 and 28.

She’s also qualified for state in the giant slalom.
