In defense of women sportscasters, I have been listening to the female Yankees broadcaster on XM during the playoffs and she is a refreshing change, not gabbing just to gab, but noting interesting things on the field that the listeners can't see.
As far as I know, she is the only female I have ever heard in a baseball sports booth.
And female sideline reporters? Some of them are not very attractive at all, so maybe they keep their job because they are good at finding out inside info.

If you ask me some of those sideline gals are terrible. Some are good. The gal on Monday night is very good and there is that one that is on around the horn occasionally. I love her stuff.
