Clay Matthews, the Green Bay Packers' great outside linebacker (60 tackles, 13.5 sacks, two forced fumbles) whose long flowing locks are unmistakable, has signed a deal to promote Unilever's Suave shampoo.
Pittsburgh Steelers safety Troy Polamalu (63 tackles, one sack, seven interceptions) of course has equally long locks (play the video above) and is sponsored and insured for $1 million by Head & Shoulders.
I like soft, neatly-styled hair that's just long enough to bury my fingers in, but not so long that they get tangled and stuck so I'm going with Daryn Colledge.

Don't know what the football players look like without their helmets. That's a hairy situation and makes for difficult pickings. I appreciate hair that is kempt. If you elect to have long hair, then you need to keep it groomed and neat. Not sure who does that among the long hair holders.

No, I've never found long hair attractive either. I appreciate it if it's obviously well-kept and looks nice, but it doesn't do anything for me (I'm a hair girl - it's the first thing I notice!).
Rockdoc - you can go to NFL.com and check out the team's depth charts for pics of the players without their helmets. Unfortunately, it isn't always the best view, like Polumalu has his tied back so it doesn't even look long. But sometimes they have a link to an interview as well, and then you get a better look!
PF - lol I think VL's on an extended break after his losses, you might have to vote on your own!
