Winter park is great for families.

Keystone and loveland are cheapo but then there are about a zillion peeps to contend with because of it.

As for wind South park has a few souls using wind for alternate power. but I have built supports for a couple of solar powered homes up here. One was for a rocket scientist that designed their own system.
17+kw with battery backup and a generator for really severe situations.
