Yep, they saw the need to control the flow of rare earth metals years ago. Instead of mining them here, we implemented environmental controls and regulations that prevented the mining. Of course they beat us wth our own stick.

The Forbes article neglects to point out that most new fossil fuel consumption is happening in China. They are building new coal fired power plants all the time.
I really hoped they would embrace more nuclear power, both in China and India, but it must cost too much. Canada is still very pro-nuclear power. These next generation plants are amazing. Much less waste and cost.
