285Bound is pleased to announce the beginning of a partnership with the Conifer Area Chamber of Commerce! We are thrilled to be working with the organization whose mission is to support this community, and its businesses, as that falls right in line with our goals as well! We will pool our resources to serve the needs of our residents and businesses to the best of our abilities.

File Attachment:

To start this off, we are doing a joint fundraiser for the Dom and Jane Food Bank of the Rockies Marathon . Every year, the Dom and Jane Morning Show on Mix 100 holds a 2 day marathon to raise money for one of the most effective, and needed, charities of the Rocky Mountain region. For every dollar they bring in, they can give out 4 meals; their administrative costs are one of the lowest of any charity (96¢ of every dollar we receive goes toward our hunger relief programs, according to their website ). Last year, they raised almost a million dollars during this marathon, and businesses who donate often get to do so on the air ! Our goal is to raise money and go on the air and donate it on behalf of the community, residents and businesses, of Conifer and let their quarter of a million listeners know that there's great activities to do, businesses to shop in, and restaurants to patronize up here in our neighborhood! To help us in this endeavor, we ask that you please visit the businesses (see list below) who have a collection box with the sign in it above and drop in your donation, or mail a check (make sure you clearly mark what it's intended for please!) directly to Dawn Smith at the Chamber or to 285Bound.com at the addresses below. We only have this week and next (our apologies for this being last-minute-ish; we'll do much better next year!). We will be collecting the boxes back on November 15th so we can count it all and donate it during their marathon on the 16th and 17th. Thank you so much!!!!

The Chamber now has a dedicated forum here on 285Bound where they will post events, news, living in the mountains FAQ's, and more! to keep you up-to-date on what's the latest happening in your town! Please check it out here , and their website , for more!

We at 285Bound thank the Chamber for their participation, hard work, dedication, and support of our community, look forward to a mutually beneficial and successful partnership, and are excited at the opportunity to better inform you, our members, of what may interest you locally. Thank you all for your support as well!
:bravo: :Thank you

Warmest regards,
285Bound

Thank you to everyone who donated to the Food Bank of the Rockies! We were able to collect a total of $211.50 in just 2 weeks! :woo hoo: :notworthy: Unfortunately, all of the on-air donation slots were filled up, but they may mention us yet themselves so if you can turn on the Dom and Jane Show on Mix 100 right now, listen for the shout-out to the residents and businesses of Conifer! :cool0012: :woo hoo:

Next year, we'll do even better - I'm thinking a contest between us and Evergreen! :youregoing:
