We are asking for nominations from everyone for our Annual Awards to a Conifer, Pine, Bailey, Evergreen, or Morrison business for:
Business of the Year, Home-Based Business of the Year, Non-Profit of the Year, and Ambassador of the Year

Conifer Area Chamber of Commerce 2012 Awards Categories and Criteria

Category: Business of the Year
Criteria: Must be a Conifer Chamber Member in good standing
Can be either a for-profit or non-profit organization
Will have contributed to the local economy by buying or employing locally
Will have demonstrated good citizenship throughout the community, including active support of charities and businesses, as well as encouraging its employees to do the same
Must have been in business for at least three (3) years
Businesses that have an employee serving on the Conifer Chamber of Commerce Board of Directors will not be eligible for consideration

Category: Home-Based Business of the Year
Criteria: Must be a Conifer Chamber Member in good standing
Will have contributed to the local economy by buying or employing locally
Will have demonstrated good citizenship throughout the community, including active support of charities and businesses
Must have been in business for at least one (1) year
Businesses that have an employee serving on the Conifer Chamber of Commerce Board of Directors will not be eligible for consideration

Category: Non-Profit of the Year
Criteria: Must be a Conifer Chamber Member in good standing
Will have contributed to the local economy by buying or employing locally
Will have contributed to the local community by offering services
Businesses that have an employee serving on the Conifer Chamber of Commerce Board of Directors will not be eligible for consideration

Category: Ambassador of the Year
Criteria: Must be a Conifer Chamber Member in good standing
Must be respected by his or her peers
Must have earned the highest points per the Ambassador’s Chart
(indicating activity at events and meetings, and recruitment efforts)
Businesses that have an employee serving on the Conifer Chamber of Commerce Board of Directors will not be eligible for consideration
Other publicity to be determined


Conifer Chamber Awards Nomination Process and Facts
-It is completely free to enter
-Self-nominations are permitted
-Nominations from both Chamber members and non-Chambers are permitted
-It is recommended that nominations be no more than two pages in length. Additional information that promotes the nominee, however, may be included as support material
-The geographic areas covered are Conifer, Pine, Bailey, Evergreen, and Morrison
-All nominees will be contacted by the Chamber Awards Committee

Friday, February 10, 2012 Nominations Due
Monday, February 13, 2012 Nominees will be notified and a brief interview scheduled and conducted
Monday, February 20, 2012 Finalists Announced
Friday, March 9, 2012 Winners Announced at Conifer Chamber of Commerce Annual Meeting


-Award recipients will be announced during the Conifer Chamber of Commerce Annual Meeting on Friday, March 9th. Meeting begins at 7:15a and takes place at Brooks Place Tavern (27175 Main Street, Conifer, CO 80433). The cost is $8 per person, which includes breakfast.
