It's a Story Book Holiday in Evergreen!

Have you seen the ice carved Christmas tree and fireplace located in front of the Evergreen Chamber of Commerce office? This is the first of many sculptures that will be appearing around our community as part of our Storybook Evergreen holidays. Visit our website to see where the others will be so you can make it a point to visit each of them!
This ice extravaganza brings favorite holiday stories alive through a series of beautiful, life size ice sculptures staged throughout Evergreen.
On November 22nd the festivities begin at the Stone House Visitor Center in North Evergreen, when we light a real fire in the ice fireplace, hung with ice stockings and light up the ice Christmas Tree. Our ice sculptors will spend the following few days creating icy statues throughout town that will be debuted the evening of November 27th, just in time for small business Saturday, Nov 28th, in Evergreen. Beginning on December 4, Santa Claus and his good friend Rabbi Jamie will be reading stories for children near and far to enjoy.
Through the power of his Elf-Cam and broadcast on Evergreen Chamber Facebook Page and Youtube, Santa will read The Polar Express (December 4), How the Grinch Stole Christmas (December 11), Rudolph the Red-Nosed Reindeer (December 18) and T’was the Night Before Christmas (December 24). On December 10th, the first night of Hanukkah, Rabbi Jamie will read the Hanukkah story.

2020 continues to be a difficult year for all and we wanted to make sure the community is still able to experience the JOY of the season. In lieu of the annual holiday walk, we have created December in Downtown Evergreen. A month of family friendly activities, entertainers and musicians to enhance your experience as you are supporting local businesses in Downtown Evergreen. We have worked extremely hard to make sure everything is placed throughout Main Street so we are not to draw a large crowd in any one area. We are also repeating performances so that you have more than one opportunity to visit and view what we have scheduled. In order for this to be a success we will need your help - if you are sick, please stay home: please wear a mask and respect social distancing. We are excited to celebrate the season and truly appreciate your continued support of Downtown Evergreen!

Letters to Santa: A Special Red Mailbox has been placed at The Holiday Display (next to Sweetwater Boutique). Please place all Letters to Santa in the box and we will ensure they are sent to The North Pole. If you would like to receive a reply letter from the North Pole then please include a self addressed, stamped envelope by December 15th. All letters collected after December 15th will be guaranteed on time deliver to Santa by Christmas
#evergreenelfieselfie: A sneaky little elf seems to be bouncing between display windows in Downtown Evergreen. Take an Elfie Selfie with them and post to Facebook and Instagram with the hashtag #evergreenelfieselfie. At the end of December an Elfie Selfie will be chosen at random for a prize….enter every time you see the Elf in a new location.
Holiday Scavenger Hunt: A great way to entertain the kids while you are shopping local for the holidays. Pick up your scavenger hunt game card at Sweetwater Boutique throughout the month of December. Once you have received 5 stickers from participating businesses, return your card to Sweetwater Boutique for a special treat and you will be entered to win a prize at the end of the month.

Downtown Evergreen businesses are joining efforts with EChO. Please purchase gift cards in $10 increments to be donated to the Evergreen Christian Outreach family holiday gift giving program. You can participate in this program until December 14th to ensure a timely delivery to the families. This is an amazing opportunity to support a small business and your community with one donation.
