I’m looking forward to worshipping with you this Sunday … we’re getting ready to “turn the corner”, so to speak, on our message series out of Mark’s gospel entitled, Side-by-Side with Jesus. This Sunday, I’m finishing up the longest section of Mark’s gospel (other than the Passion narrative) dealing with Jesus’ main teaching theme on discipleship – Opening Blinded Eyes. There is only one other topic and Scripture passage to deal with – Jesus’ teaching on divorce.
I feel like God really wants to speak to us all this Sunday morning … it will not be a message about the horrors of divorce alone; but a message from God’s Word about what He wants marriage to look like. If you, or you know someone who has suffered (or perhaps are still suffering) through a divorce or relational break-up, then come and find comfort and healing from God’s Word! If you’d like to hear some things that will help you in your marriage … then, again, come and find comfort and healing from God’s Word! If you can’t make it, I think this is a message that you’ll want to acquire on CD … we’ll have some ready. Hope to see ya’ Sunday!
