Well Journey,
For the first time in over 2 years, we are going to have to call church off. I know what some of you are saying. You're making fun of the people from Texas and Kansas who can't get around in the snow. And just because we could, doesn't mean we should. After talking with many trusted people this morning about road conditions, the snow isn't so much of an issue as will be the wind. According to local weather and CDOT, around the time we would be starting church the winds are supposed to be around 20 miles an hour. At the end of the day, your safety matters more than holding a service. Here's just a couple things to remember as you embark on a wonderful day at home with your family.
There will be no AXIS Youth tonight as the roads will still be bad.
Sometimes these days can best be used to strengthen families and to enjoy a true day of rest.
If Journey is your home and you are a regular giver, it would be great if you could still give this week so that the work on getting all our ministries off the ground can continue, such as the Llama. (Snow days can be murder on a church budget. If you can help, please do. You can even give online through Paypal.)
If you or one of your neighbors have any issues, please don't hesitate to call the church at 303-862-2209 or email us at
and we will coordinate any help for those who need it.
That about covers it, kids. I guess God REALLY wants this to be a true day of rest! Please spread the word about this by posting this to Facebook if you are on there. And if you must get out for any reason today, please be safe.
