Deer Park United Methodist Woodpile Workday Feb 1

From Deer Park United Methodist Church :

We had a TREMENDOUS start to the woodpile season on September 14th, thanks to everyone who came to help, including the members of the mission work team from First United Methodist Church of Wichita, KS. There are still some logs on site to be processed, so we'll plan to have the regularly-scheduled first-saturday-of-the-month Woodpile Workday this Saturday, October 5th, from 8am-noon. As always, anyone and everyone is welcome and there is always something to do. Bring equipment as you can and proper work gear as you have it: gloves, eye protection, earplugs, water bottles, sunscreen, appropriate tools, chainsaws, rakes and wheelbarrows. Everyone is welcome.

Don't be bashful! Come along and invite someone to join you. Bring a fellow church member to help out with this part of the Interfaith Food Pantry. Feel free to post to any of your connections (FaceBook, PineCam, web pages, blogs or wherever).

It would also be great to have some younger folks join in. I think some of the schools or other youth organizations request students contribute community service during the year. Does anyone have contacts for these areas that we could invite them to join in?

Thanks,
-Dave

"Now, more than ever, the illusions of division threaten our very existence. We all know the truth: more connects us than separates us. But in times of crisis the wise build bridges, while the foolish build barriers. We must find a way to look after one another as if we were one single tribe.” -King T'Challa, Black Panther
