May 4th, COFA monthly breakfast at TRC-Timber Ridge Church in Conifer. From 8:00 to 9:30 Am. The address is: The Village at Aspen Park - 25587 Conifer Rd, Conifer, Colorado 80433 This is a great way to meet the COFA ministry team and make some new friends while having breakfast. May 4th Kids gun safety class
10-12:00 noon, Kids learn basic use of guns and how to properly hold, shoot, and be safe with adult supervision. If you have or own any firearms, this class is very important to your child. May 4th, COFA will be having a meat smoking class with Will Johnson teaching the basics of smoking and will answer any questions you may have. Will has perfected the art of smoking meat, chicken, pork, fish, beef, etc. This will be a hands-on class. Limited to 15 for this class. Meets at 8660 South Fairall Road, Morrison 80465, 12:00 to 2:00 PM

May 11th, COFA Target shoot
: Men and women Bring your rifles, handguns, and hearing protection and your shooting glasses. We will provide tables and chairs to shoot from. We will have COFA ministry team leaders help you with sighting in your handgun or your rifle. This is great for kids! If you have any questions, please call Mike at 303-880-9878 or George at 303.880.3800. Limited to 15 shooters. Meet in the Staples parking lot at 8:30 or before. We will leave and head out to the shooting area. Carpooling is suggested, roads are rough in some spots near the shooting area.

May 11th, NRA Western Big Game Hunting Round Table (hands-on, in the field) from 1:00 PM to 3:30 PM at the GREEN BARN, 8660 South Fairall Road, Morrison 80465.

Calling all men, women, and kids who want to learn big game hunting techniques for elk, and deer. This year's hunting season is fast approaching. This hands-on seminar NRA seminar is geared for the western big game hunter. This will be a hands-on class with sharing and insights from all who attend. We will have you learn how to use elk calls, how to use pop up ground blinds, and tree stands. How to use elk and deer scents and decoys. How to find the right area to hunt when you don't have time to scout. Learn how to use a GPS and map and find good hunting spots. How to hunt bad weather and be safe. Many more techniques will be discussed and how to apply them when you hunt.

The vision and goal of COFA is to use God’s great outdoors through hunting, fishing, hiking, camping and other activities, to promote the gospel and a personal relationship with the Lord Jesus Christ.

Currently COFA is developing programs to gather men, women, families (which include single parents) together through the great outdoors experience.
