A reminder about the Deer Park United Methodist Church Woodpile Workdays
From Ingrid Stitt Wilson in Bailey & Pine CO Neighbors & Friends group:

SATURDAY , OCTOBER 5 TH

Please consider helping ..its a great family activity! Help your neighbors in need and have a great time meeting new friends! This wood pile helps over 75 families a season with heating. Do you need help with food or wood in the Bailey ,Pine, Grant area...call Mountain Resource Center 303-838-7552 to connect with IFP volunteers Monday- Thursday.

Hello, all IFP Woodpile Volunteers and Volunteers-in-Waiting!

While it’s now been 50 years since Woodstock, and the music still plays on, it’s only been a few months since our last Woodpile Workday, and the firewood supplies are nearly empty at the Interfaith Food Pantry (IFP) Woodpile. With the recent onset of Autumn, and winter soon to arrive, we need your help to get our firewood supplies back to being able to help supply our neighbors in need. Please set aside some time on Saturday, October 5th, gather together some of your friends, family, fellow church members, neighbors, scout troops, youth groups, kids, youth, retirees, and anyone else you want to invite, and do a little good working together for that morning. All people of all abilities are welcome, and we always have something for everyone to do.

Here’s the usual rundown:

DATE: Saturday, October 5th
TIME: 8am-noon
WHERE: Parking lot/Woodlot of the Interfaith Food Pantry, located at Deer Park United Methodist Church, 966 Rim Rock Road
WHAT TO BRING: Layered work clothing; gloves; ear and eye protection. If you’ve got chainsaws, wood splitters, wheelbarrows/carts, shovels, and rakes, these are helpful and useful, too.
WHO: You and anyone you bring along - we have things to do for everyone of all ages and abilities.
ACTIVITIES: Cut, split, haul, and stack firewood.

As always, if you have questions or ideas or recommendations for how to make the woodpile work better for people, please feel free to contact me.

Thanks,

-Dave
