Dear Friends and Family of COFA:
I am writing you today, as this year is coming to an end, and what a year it’s been. The pandemic has taken a toll on all of us, spiritually, emotionally, and physically. Yet, many people wanted to get into the outdoors and enjoy hiking, biking, fishing, hunting, and ATVing. We were able to provide activities for those that wanted to get out in the outdoors.
I would like to ask you to prayerfully consider partnering with COFA-Christian Outdoor Fellowship of America with a special end of year, tax-deductible gift to help us end 2021 strong. God is opening doors and multiplying opportunities, and we want to be able to seize every opportunity we can to share the hope and love of Jesus Christ to those in the outdoors who need it most. We believe God still has great things in store this year for COFA and is getting ready to accelerate his goodness as we enter 2022.
Here’s where your financial contributions go; this year, every year COFA hosts a National ATV ride in Ouray, Colorado that is attended by people from across the country. We also have a fishcamp/fall retreat in Bemidji, MN. In 2022 we will be hosting training seminars for pastors and lay leaders, sharing the gospel in the outdoors. We had our annual men’s elk hunt in Ridgway, CO in 2021. COFA will have its first annual women’s elk hunt in CO in October 2022. If you’re interested in the men’s hunt, contact Scott Glasscock 303.921.2273 or Leslie Allen for the women’s hunt at 303.909.3707. COFA sponsors the Free Kids paper target Turkey shoot, in November in Colorado, with additional Kids Turkey shoots being added in other states. We have 100’s of people attend the kids’ turkey shoots, and the gospel will be presented to children, parents, grandparents, and friends. We at COFA want to continue to build events for children and their families, but we need your financial support to do so.
COFA has an education building and we’re set up for kids and adult classes. We need your help with obtaining a portable AED Defibrillator on hand. This would be nice to have at all our events. We will be holding several different classes for children and adults during winter, spring, summer and fall months. Classes such as Hunter Ed, Archery, GPS, outdoor cooking, kids gun safety, ATV instruction, etc. We are now having classes for women only, these include, outdoor survival, western big game hunting clinics, GPS, map and compass, wilderness medicine, and other classes.
