COFA's First National Event of the year. Off-Road Ride around Beautiful Ouray, Colorado
Do you want to see the world from a mountain top in the Colorado Rockies? If you do, come, and join the COFA National Off-Road event on July 22-25th of 2022 in Ouray Colorado! We'll ride some of the most incredible scenic trails in southern Colorado. The views will be breathtaking at 12,000 feet and will create memories for years to come.
On Friday, July 22nd, there will be a meet and greet BBQ in Ridgway across from True Grit restaurant at the park at 6:00 PM. On Saturday, July 23rd we will look at some old mines, and ghost towns as we ride our 4-wheelers and learn about the history of Colorado's mining industry. You'll see mines from the 1860's and 1870's. There will be a Cowboy chuck wagon dinner at 6:00 PM on Saturday evening at Ridgway Community church, 685 Sherman Street with your COFA Off-Road group. Bring your camera, and sunscreen, and enjoy the world from the top of the mountains.
LODGING: For those of you who like to camp, the Uncompahgre National Forest is a great place to pitch your tent, or nearby is the Corkscrew Pass campground. If you prefer to stay indoors, there are a number of B&B's or Airbnb's available in Ridgway or Ouray.

The drive is 45 minutes to get to the disembarking location for off-road vehicles from Montrose, however, there are also more affordable hotel options in Montrose. Call hotels in Montrose, Colorado for more options.
ATV Info: If you don't own an ATV, there are ATV rentals in Ouray, you can call Colorado West Jeep Trails at 970.325.4014 or 1-800.648.5337. Call early in May or June. Reserve the ATV for all day Saturday, July 23rd.
If you're bringing your own Off-Road vehicle, make sure that it's in good working condition. Check the fluids and/or have your mechanic look your vehicle over. COFA strongly recommends that you have insurance on your own vehicle. You never know what may happen and it's best to be protected.
