Dear Friends and Family of COFA:

Season's greetings friends. This year has gone by so fast and it's hard to believe that Christmas is almost here. During 2022, COFA has grown in many different ways, expanding ministry and opportunities for so many people to hear the good news about Christ. Just two quick examples: the Free Kids Paper Target Turkey Shoot this year (more on that in a minute), and the first COFA National Annual Women's Elk Hunt in Ridgway, Colorado. COFA sponsored over 60 events and classes for children and adults this year. But there’s even more to come.

Plans for 2023 include:
-- Training lay leaders and those interested in starting COFA groups in their churches and equipping them to share the gospel to outdoor enthusiasts.
-- Starting COFA groups in North Carolina, Kansas, and Nebraska.
-- Hosting a COFA National Women's Bible Study via Zoom.
-- Adding several new children and adult programs for 2023.
-- Adding new volunteers monthly to the The Women's COFA Ministry Team as an answer to prayer.
-- Training COFA volunteers how to share the gospel to the unchurched outdoor enthusiast.
-- Equipping 15 new volunteer leaders for COFA's Ministry starting in January under the mentorship of Kevin Bellamy, our National Training Director.

I’m asking you to prayerfully consider partnering with COFA--Christian Outdoor Fellowship of America--with a special end-of-year, tax-deductible gift to help us finish 2022 strong. God is opening doors and multiplying possibilities and we want to be able to seize every opportunity we can to share the hope and love of Jesus Christ with those in the outdoors who need it most. We believe God still has great things in store for COFA and is getting ready to accelerate His goodness, through donations like yours, as we enter 2023. COFA is run by all volunteers and no salaries are paid, so your financial support goes directly to the ministry as a 501(c)(3) nonprofit tax deduction for you.

How do we use those dollars? Besides up to four outdoor classes/events each month…
-- COFA hosts a National Off-Road Event in Ouray, CO in the Summer.
-- A Fishcamp/Fall Retreat in Bemidji, MN, drawing people from across the country.
-- And as mentioned above, COFA sponsors the Free Kids Paper Target Turkey Shoot in November in Colorado, with additional Kids Turkey Shoot events being added in other states. This year we had over 50 children, and adults raise their hand to trust in Christ at the Turkey shoot event after a clear presentation of the love and salvation of God at closing ceremonies. Over the years, several thousand people have attended COFA events, from children to grandparents. We want to continue to build these outreach opportunities for individuals and families, but we need your financial support to do so.

COFA presents about two dozen specialized training classes each year in our education building, with both kids and adult sessions, including Hunter Ed, Archery, GPS, outdoor cooking, kids gun safety, ATV instruction, etc. In addition, we’ll cover biking, fishing, kayaking, camping, snowshoeing, ice fishing, etc. We continually post the most current, upcoming classes on the COFA website. And new this year, classes for women only including outdoor survival, western big game hunting clinics, GPS, map and compass, kayaking, wilderness medicine, photography, and other courses. If you’re interested in learning more, call Leslie at 303.909.3707. If you’d like to donate to COFA outdoor education classes, please indicate that on your gift, and we’ll direct those funds immediately.

By the way, we need your help finding a portable AED Defibrillator to have on hand at all events. If you would like to contribute to this life-saving equipment, let us know, and thank you if you can help out.

To donate, please click on this link, cofausa.org/sponsor/ .

We also accept vehicles, boats, enclosed trailers, ATVs, etc. What’s more, COFA will accept any property as a donation as well.

At COFA, we want you to know your prayers and gifts are the reason we’ve been able to host our outdoor events. Men and women are making commitments to Christ through COFA's outings. If you’ve not been a regular contributor to COFA, we ask you to prayerfully consider partnering with us and recognize us as one of the missions you support in sharing God’s love and His Word with the unchurched outdoor enthusiasts.

Please donate to the Christian Outdoor Fellowship of America through the secure link, which will take you directly to COFA's tax-deductible donation page: cofausa.org/sponsor/

Sincerely,

Mike
