Hunter Education Class Saturday, June 10, 7:30 AM to 3:00 PM

COFA is partnering with the Colorado Parks & Wildlife to provide Hunter Safety Education.
At this course, students will complete the Internet Conclusion Course in a classroom setting that includes lectures, hands-on activities, and videos. Registering for this class meets your requirement to pre-register for a conclusion class described on the Colorado Parks and Wildlife website for the Internet Conclusion Course.

To register for this class, click here: cofausa.org/civicrm/event/register/?id=161&reset=1
**There is a prerequisite to complete an online course at CPW.com** (Click here: cpw.state.co.us/learn/Pages/HE-Online-Classes.aspx )

About the Event: Comprehensive Instruction in Colorado Hunting Safety Education: This official training program is developed to meet the standards for Hunting safety education established by Colorado. Hunter-Ed.com is the only safety course provider that develops print materials on behalf of government agencies responsible for Hunting laws and regulations.

Hunter education cards will be awarded to students upon successful completion of the course, which includes attending all class sessions, passing a written test, and live fire. Rifles and ammunition for the live fire will be provided. No personal firearms or ammunition are allowed.
Cost: $10 fee for the course.

Schedule: Classroom instruction will be from 7:30 am-noon at the COFA Green Barn (Conifer Training Facility) near Conifer, address: 8660 S Fairall Rd, Morrison, CO 80465. Directions to the SHFC range for the live fire portion of the class, from 1-3 pm, will be given in class.

Parents: Please note the Skyline Hunting & Fishing Club (SHFC), where the live fire portion of the class takes place, prohibits children under 12 at the range. This is a regulation of the privately owned shooting range and does not have anything to do with Colorado Parks & Wildlife (CPW) or the Christian Outdoor Fellowship of America (COFA). If you would like to register your child under the age of 12 (at the time of the class), please feel free to register your child at COFA's Hunter Education events that do not have this restriction, such as Aug 5, Sep 2, Oct 14, Nov 4, or Dec 16 in 2023. On these dates listed, the live fire portion of the class will be held at a Colorado Parks and Wildlife (CPW) range which does not have an age limitation.
