COFA's Dutch Oven Cooking Class – Sat, Jun 3 – 11:00 AM to 2:00 PM
On Saturday, June 3, COFA will host a Dutch Oven Cooking Class with a live demonstration and taste tests! For those of you who missed the last class, here’s your chance to sign up. We will be trying some new Dutch oven recipes.
The class will be at the COFA Green Barn from 11:00 AM to 2:00 PM. The address is 8660 South Fairall Road, Morrison, CO 80465.

In this class, you will learn to use your Dutch Oven while making some wonderful meals. If you're new to Dutch Oven cooking, you will learn 10 things to know about your new Dutch Oven: You should wash it first. Cast iron works on all heat sources. High temps should be avoided. Cast iron holds in heat. Cast iron gets cold too! Oil is important! You can marinate food in it. You should be careful not to scratch it.
Dutch ovens are versatile and perfect for baking, roasting, browning, searing, broiling, and deep-frying. While roasts and stews are great recipes for a Dutch oven, you might be surprised to learn that you can also bake bread in a Dutch oven.
This will be a hands-on class; you will learn how to make different meals in a Dutch oven. Learn how to make incredible bread in a Dutch oven. If you're just curious about outdoor cooking in a Dutch oven, come and check the class out.
