Basic Pistol Class (CCW) – Sat, Aug 19th, 8:00 AM to 12:30 PM

It sounds like this sexual perp is still on the loose in our mountain community of Conifer and the Evergreen area. I have talked to several women who will not go hiking in Conifer or Evergreen because of this guy, and I can't blame them. The sheriff has been looking for him to no avail for the last few months. Then I saw another story on the local and national news about this sexual prep in Conifer and Evergreen. Who will be his next victim, and when will he be stopped? This guy is getting more brazen in his exposing himself to women who are on their hikes.

Would you know what to do if he attacked you on one of these trails? Many women are scared, and they have a right to be; he confronts women along these trails in our community without any fear. He targets lone women hikers.

COFA has received calls from women who want to sign up for the CCW and women's self-defense classes to learn how to defend themselves. You do have a right to protect yourself in an attack.

For more information, you can call Leslie at 303.909.3707 or sign up at the following link for the CCW class.

On Saturday, Aug 19th, COFA will host a Basic Pistol course for anyone to attend. Those 21 and older will receive a certificate allowing them to apply for their Concealed Carry Permit (CCW) in Colorado.

Everyone is invited to register for this class. Those under 21 are welcome to attend for informational purposes, and those under 18 must have a parent or guardian present. However, they cannot apply for their concealed carry permit until after their 21st birthday. Please get in touch with us (see below) for questions or more information about those under 21.

This class, on Saturday, Aug 19th, from 8:00 am - 12:30 pm, will be held at the COFA Green Barn, Conifer Training Facility, 8660 S Fairall Rd, Morrison, CO 80465.

While our course emphasizes gun safety, we will provide a legal summary of carry laws, pistol terminology, function, carry methods, shooting basics, and range etiquette.

This basic pistol course meets the standards Colorado law has put in place and satisfies the educational qualifications to obtain a concealed carry permit in Colorado.
