Dear Friends and Family of COFA:

Season's greetings friends, it's hard to believe that Christmas is right around the corner. This year has gone by so fast. During 2023, COFA has grown in many different ways; for example, at our Free Kids paper target Turkey Shoot this year, we had 50+ kids and adults trust in Christ. In addition, COFA had their second National Annual Women's Elk Hunt in Ridgway, Colorado. COFA offered over 88 events and classes for children and adults this year.

Plans for 2024 include some of the following.
COFA will be:
*moving forward this coming year with SCHEELS in sponsoring the Free Kids Paper Turkey Target Shoots.
*hosting a family day outing at Cottonmill Park in Kearney, Nebraska.
*sponsoring a booth January at the NE Deer & Game Expo in Lincoln, NE.
*having a booth at the Flint Hills Praisefest in Manhattan, Kansas in September.
COFA will host Colorado’s Hunter Education program all 12 months of 2024, 500 students expected to attend.
The Ministry team will train lay leaders and those interested in starting COFA groups in their churches
as well as how to share the gospel in the outdoors.
North Carolina, Kansas, and Nebraska will be starting their state COFA groups.
COFA is adding several new children and adult programs for 2024.
The Women's COFA Ministry Team is adding new volunteers monthly, an answer to prayer.
COFA will be training its volunteers in how to share the gospel to the unchurched outdoor enthusiast.
Kevin Bellamy, our National Training Director, will be training new volunteer leaders for COFA's
Ministry starting in January.

Here's where your financial contributions go: this year, and every year, COFA hosts a National Off-Road Event in Ouray, CO, and a fishcamp/fall retreat in Bemidji, MN. People from across the country attend these events. COFA sponsors the Free Kids Paper Target Turkey Shoot in November in Colorado, with additional Kids Turkey Shoot events being added in other states. Over the years, we have had 1000's of people attend the COFA Free Kids' paper target Turkey Shoots, and the gospel is presented to children, parents, grandparents, and friends. We at COFA want to continue to build events for children and their families, but we need your financial support to do so.

COFA has an education building, and we're set up for kids and adult classes. We need your help with obtaining a portable AED Defibrillator to have on hand at all events. So far, donations of $500 have been contributed toward this life-saving piece of equipment. We are looking for an additional $1000 to complete this purchase. We will be having many different classes for children and adults during the winter, spring, summer, and fall months. Classes like Hunter Ed, Archery, GPS, outdoor cooking, kids gun safety, ATV instruction, etc. In addition, we’ll have events for hiking, biking, fishing, kayaking, camping, snowshoeing, ice fishing, etc. We are now having classes on outdoor survival, western big game hunting clinics, GPS, map and compass, kayaking, wilderness medicine, and other courses.
