COFA - Christian Outdoor Fellowship of America is offering a concealed carry (CCW) class on February 22nd
For those of you who want to get your concealed carry permit, now’s the time to get it before the laws change on July 1st. Here’s why: The new law requires the following to obtain a concealed carry permit. The training class must provide at least 8 hours of instruction, including the live-fire exercise and written exam. Beginning July 1, 2025, the act also requires a renewal applicant to demonstrate competence with a handgun by taking a "refresher course".
COFA’s current CCW class provides air pistol handguns for the live-fire exercise, and instructions for the live-fire positions needed for safe handling. This class runs 4 hours and 30 minutes. However, beginning July 1st, COFA will run the class for 8 hours, according to the new law. If you attend COFA's concealed carry class before the law goes into effect July 1, you must also apply for your permit before July 1, otherwise you will be required to re-take the class under the new law's restrictions.
On Saturday, February 22nd, from 8:00 AM to 12:30 PM, COFA will be hosting a Basic Pistol (CCW) class so that those 21 and older can apply for their concealed carry permit in the state of Colorado.
Can I carry a gun without a concealed weapons permit in Colorado?
With very few exceptions, Colorado law makes it a crime to carry a knife or firearm concealed on your person without a current and valid permit, or to bring a firearm or explosive device into a place where government business is being conducted.
