On Thursday, May 29th, COFA will host a Self-Defense Course for women, moms, daughters, and anyone over 50.
With the rise of violent crime against women and seniors in Colorado, now is the time to learn some basic self-defence to protect yourself and your loved ones. An attack can happen at any time and anywhere. It can occur in the home, at a parking lot, at the mall, while walking in the park, in your neighborhood, or at the grocery store. Are you prepared if it happens to you?
Interesting thought: Community violence happens in public areas between unrelated individuals who may or may not know each other (CDC, 2022). Community violence can include homicide, assault, sexual assault, and gang violence, and can be fatal or nonfatal.
Have you ever been scared of being attacked, kidnapped, or carjacked? Most of us have probably felt uneasy hiking in the woods, walking to our car, or walking at the mall. This class will be very helpful for those who want to learn more about self-defense.
The class will cover situational awareness, unarmed self-defense techniques, self-defense tools, and techniques for avoiding kidnapping and escaping from one. Register now: cofausa.org/civicrm/event/register/?id=373&reset=1

This is a class for those over 50, or women, moms, and daughters.
