Alzheimer’s Caregivers Support Group meets monthly/Evergreen

21 Jun 2012 07:08 #1 by MountEvansHomeHealthCareandHospice
Mt. Evans Home Health & Hospice, in cooperation with the Alzheimer’s Association, offers a support group for caregivers, family and friends of people with Alzheimer’s disease and other dementias on the third Monday of every month from 4:30 to 6:00 p.m. The free program is designed to help caregivers cope with emotional as well as practical aspects of the disease.

Caring for someone with dementia is a difficult task that becomes easier with education and emotional nourishment. This group offers participants an opportunity to learn more about Alzheimer’s and provides a vital link to other caregivers and community resources.

The group meets at the Mt. Evans offices, located at 3081 Bergen Peak Drive (just south of Lewis Ridge Road off Evergreen Parkway). For information, call Barb at 303-674-6400.
