Elk Creek Fire Department March 2013 Newsletter

Thank you for reading our brand new March newsletter! We plan to start putting these out every quarter so look for your next one around June. We've got a lot of information to share, and we thank everyone who has called in with questions because of this newsletter.

Our CPR Classes have been hugely welcomed - we are already booked for the first ones available, but please call if you are interested, you never know when someone has to reschedule and an opening comes available. We are looking at adding additional classes.

We've got a new Donate button on our website so you can donate directly online if you'd like to help support your volunteer firefighters - we appreciate the help! Did you know that our rookies pay for their own training? It takes them almost a year to become trained to help with firefighting, and if they wish to gain additional EMS training, that's another 4 months and $1,000 out of their own pocket. We are very grateful that we have had so many step up to volunteer, provide so many hours here at the station, and cover those expenses - we couldn't do what we do without them.
